Memoria del Festival Internacional de Poesía de Medellín. Cynthia James nació en Trinidad y Tobago el 14 de mayo de 1948 y allí vive y enseña. Es Catedrática en Educación del Lenguaje en la Facultad de Humanidades y Educación de la Universidad de las Indias Occidentales, St. Augustine, Trinidad. Se graduó de la Universidad de Howard, Washington DC con un PhD. en inglés en 1998. Escribe poesía y ficción y tiene tres colecciones de poesía: Iere, Mi Amor, Vigilia, y La Vega y otros poemas. Su segunda novela Terraza de Zapotillo fue publicada a principios del 2006. Tiene un libro de crítica literaria, La Narrativa Cimarrón, una historia narrativa de la historia de la literatura caribeña en inglés, publicada por Heinemann en el 2002. Ha sido dos veces becaria James Michener en el Instituto para Escritores Caribeños de la Universidad de Miami y recibió El Premio del Fondo Nacional Para las Humanidades por sus estudios en textos literarios clásicos del Caribe anglo-parlante. Tres preocupaciones hacen vital la poesía de Cynthia James: su conciencia de caribeña, su familiaridad con lo paterno y lo materno, y la búsqueda de la perfección de su oficio. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Imperial 66128) Out of Los Angeles, this version of the Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil tune was issued in August of 1965. It had been previously recorded by The Righteous Brothers on Philles and Vincent Edwards on Colpix. The Paris Sisters recorded their Jack Nitzsche arranged version as 'See That Boy' in 1966 on their Reprise LP. Joel Christie's version is more or less the softer of the four. All of the versions were recorded in Hollywood utilizing various ensembles of The 'Wrecking Crew' and the Vincent Edwards and Joel Christie versions featured background vocals by The Blossoms.
